Step 1: Compress the file
Run the document through our Compress PDF tool first. A 25 MB report often shrinks below 5 MB with no visible quality loss.
Step 2: Password-protect it
Add a password using the Protect PDF tool. Share the password through a different channel (text, Signal, in person) — never in the same email as the file.
Step 3: Use the right delivery channel
- Under 25 MB: email is fine — most providers accept this.
- 25–100 MB: use a link-sharing service (WeTransfer, Google Drive, Dropbox).
- Over 100 MB: split the PDF first with our Split PDF tool, then upload.
